Mary C. Geimer

    Mary C. Geimer, 94, of Decatur, died December 16, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.    She was born in Adams County on June 5, 1918, to the late Julius C. and Anna I. (Bernard) Schultz.
    On June 5, 1940, she married Francis H. Geimer; he preceded her in death on April 24, 1986.
    Mary was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic church, its Rosary Society and Harvest House. She was a Deputy County Auditor for Adams County from 1960-1980.
    Among survivors are five children, Jane A. (John) Lengerich of Decatur, Mary Lou (Larry) Ehinger of Michigan, Gerald F. (Lounetta) Geimer of Decatur, James E. (Darlene) Geimer of Decatur, and Ruth E. (John) Schirack of Decatur; a sister, Julie A. Heimann of Decatur; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a great-grandson, Nicholas.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
    Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, December 21, at St. Mary Parrish Hall, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph School or ACCF Angel Cancer Fund.
