Mary Ann Murray

    Mary Ann Murray, 68, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014. 
    She was born April 10, 1946, in Decatur, to Robert and Doris Kirk Holthouse. 
    Mary was a resident of Okeechobee, Fla. since 1985. She was a teacher for 34 years, 26 of which were in Okeechobee. Mary was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Delta Kappa Gamma and Retired Teachers Association. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles.
  Mary is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom Murray; a son, Michael (Dina) Murray; a daughter, Laura Murray; four grandchildren, Isabelle, Ian, Aryn and Adelyn, all of Okeechobee; two sisters, Nancy (Ken) Lichtle of Decatur and Janet (Larry) Wise of Gainesville, Fla.; five nieces; four nephews; a brother-in-law, Gene Murray of Phoenix, Ariz; and a sister-in-law, Dee (Alan) Hemmelgarn of Richmond.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Our Saviour, with Rev. Dr. Edward A. Weiss officiating.
    The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Buxton and Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
