Marvin L. Manley Sr., 55 of Leo, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Parkview North Hospital.
He was born in Decatur on August 1, 1957, to the late Richard O. and Mildred (Knittle) Manley.
Marvin was self-employed as a carpenter and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed photography, hunting and playing with his grandchildren. He had been a member of the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America since 1998.
Among survivors are his three sons, Marvin L. (Monica) Manley Jr. of Geneva, Brock Johnson of Decatur, and Kaleb L. Manley of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Stephanie (Karl) Marcum of Plainfield, Gwendolyn (Jason) Duncan and Tara (Aaron) Feagler, both of Fort Wayne; his companion, Tandee Morris of Leo; two brothers, Buddy Dean Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mike (Mary) Manley of Van Wert; four sisters, Patricia Bleeke and Cindy (Jesse) Mendez, both of Decatur, Peggy (Roger) Geimer of Akeley, Minn., and Kathy (David) Brown of Monroe; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers Timmy Manley and Gene Manley.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with visitation from 11-1 p.m. Pastor Todd Moser will be officiating.
Burial will be in Blue Creek/Tricker Cemetery, rural Decatur.
