Mark A. Kaehr

    Mark A. Kaehr, 57, of Bluffton, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Mayo Hospital, in Jacksonville, Fla., while awaiting a heart transplant.
    Mark was born in Wells County on June 20, 1955, to the late Phillip G. and Gloria S. (Timmons) Kaehr. His mother survives in Bluffton.
    He married Renee A. Bebout on November 12, 1977, in Bluffton; she survives.
    A 1973 graduate of Adams Central High School, Mark attended Life Community Church. He was the owner of R & K Incinerator of rural Decatur. He was a past member of the board of directors for Decatur Bank & Trust and First Merchants Bank. Mark also served on the Soil & Water Conservation board, Adams County Extension board, and was a member of the Lake James Yacht Club.
    Additional survivors include two sons, Adam B. (Nicole) Kaehr of Decatur and Aaron M. Kaehr of Jackson, Miss.; three grandchildren, Landon, Andrew, and Alaina Kaehr; two sisters, Sara L. (Kevin) Beaty and Jennifer K. (Dan) Brink, both of Bluffton; and a brother, Jeff L. Kaehr of Wabash.
    Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Scott E. Kaehr.
    Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, January 14, and noon-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton.
    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, at Life Community Church in Bluffton, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Mark Gerber and Chad Ringger will be officiating.
    Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County.
    Preferred memorials are to the Heart Transplant Support Group of Jacksonville, Fla., or Haiti Project.
