Marjorie E. Ulman

    Marjorie E. Ulman, 87, Berne, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Swiss Village.
    Marjorie was born November 4, 1925, to the late Chauncey and Lillian (Bohren) Yoder.
    She married Ralph R. Ulman on May 8, 1954; he preceded her in death.
    Marjorie was a member of Berne Evangelical Church and the Ladies Aide. She was a former employee of Central Soya, Adams County Co-op, Dunbar Furniture, and Stucky Furniture. She enjoyed working puzzles, watching birds, and nurturing her flowers. She also enjoyed sports, especially watching NASCAR and Jeff Gordon.
    She loved her family, was a friend to all, and had a contagious smile and laughter.
    Among survivors are her daughter, Cynthia (Glen) Everett of Decatur; son, Kent D. Ulman of Schaumburg, Ill.; four sisters, Vera Mattax of Van Wert, Ohio; Darleen (Claren) Lehman of Berne; Alice Ehrman of Decatur; and Janis (Leonard) Balsiger of Ariz.; brother, Kenneth (Jeannette) Yoder of Berne; sister-in-law, Marie Thornburg of Decatur; brother-in-law, Milo Nussbaum of Ill.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
    Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, James Yoder and Murl Yoder; and a sister, Violet Nussbaum.
    Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Berne Evangelical Church.
    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Pastors Kent Fahl, Michael Sprunger, and Milo Nussbaum officiating.
    Burial will follow in Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Berne.
    Preferred memorials are to Family LifeCare of Berne and/or Berne Evangelical Church.
