Marjorie E. Reed, 87, of Decatur, died at 8 p.m. Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born to Nile and Mabel Burkhead Butler.
She was married Ermel Shook on May 23, 1942; he passed away on July 4, 1950. She married Edsel E. Reed on July 27, 1956; he passed away on July 16, 1999.
Marjorie retired in 1983 from the General Electric Co. plant at Decatur after 33 years of service and belonged to the GECODE Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Maureen S. Shook) Butcher and Mrs. James (Nyla) Saxton, both of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Pickford of Decatur and Mrs. Tony (Kay) Bidwell of Hoagland, eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One son, William L. Reed, and two brothers, Bill and Ben Butler, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in Decatur Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. today in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to Mooseheart or to Moosehaven.
