Marjorie Aughenbaugh

    Marjorie "Marge" Aughenbaugh, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012.
    Born in Decatur, Marge worked at Fort Wayne Community Schools for 29 years, retiring in 1995. She had been a member of Salem United Church of Christ. After retirement, she moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where she volunteered at the Senior Citizens Community Center.
    She enjoyed feeding the roadrunners, rabbits and quail; frequent trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nev.; sewing, gardening, and the beautiful Arizona weather. She spent many hours serving others.
    Among survivors are her daughters, Denise Aughenbaugh, Marie (Steve Beverforden) Comparet, and Joan Aughenbaugh; granddaughter, Sarah (fiance, Cody Casagrande) Comparet; granddog, Jackson Jo; and great-granddog Gizmo Jo.
    Marge was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Arthur Mayer and Violet Manbeck; sister, Dorothy Irven; and granddog, Kristie Jo.
    Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
    Funeral service is 2 p.m. on December 19, also at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior.
    Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
