Marion L. Debolt, 81, Fort Wayne, passed away April 20, 2014.
He was born July 25, 1932, the son of Homer and Clara (Linn) DeBolt.
Marion served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of International Business College. After working in a C.P.A. firm in Fort Wayne he became associated with Adams Lumber Company, Decatur and then, in partnership with Clarence and Larry Bultemeier, formed “All American Homes.” He served in various capacities there until his retirement in 1999. Marion received the “Sagamore of the Wabash” award upon his retiring signed by then Governor O’Bannon.
Marion was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
He married Miriam Weaver Sept. 15, 1951; she survives with three sons, Joseph (Gina) Debolt of Algonquin, Ill., Robert (Brenda) Debolt of Manchester, Mo. and Philip (Lois) Debolt of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Justin (Kristie) Debolt, Lindsay (Steven) Sparks, Matthew (Taren) Debolt, Michelle (William) Bostain, Ryan Debolt, Marc Debolt; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Floyd (Marcella) Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald; and a baby sister, Esther.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 8010 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.
Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
There will be no public viewing, but the family will receive callers from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Saturday.
Remembrances, in lieu of flowers in accordance with the family’s wishes, may be given to Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
