Marilyn B. Dafforn, 82, Fort Wayne, passed away Jan. 6, 2014.
She was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Fort Wayne, daughter of the late Andrew A. and Norma L. (Bandelier) Yoquelet.
Marilyn worked her entire life serving children. She helped start the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Daycare and volunteered the past 11 years at Waynedale Elementary School in Beth’s kindergarten room. She enjoyed being outside, working in her garden and doing puzzles. She was also an active member in the Faith Lutheran Church.
Surviving family include her children, Hollie (Scott) Hormann and Bruce (Beth) Dafforn; five grandchildren, Allison and Brett Hormann; Ryan, Emma, and Rachel Dafforn; sister, Virginia Cox; and brother, Paul Yoquelet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Dafforn; two brothers, Byron and Larry Yoquelet; and a grandson, Alex Hormann.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the funeral, both at the funeral home.
