Margaret B. Boggs

    Margaret B. (Amsbaugh) Boggs, 93, Decatur, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born May 17, 1920, in Wells County, to the late Grover and Odessa (Martz) Bucher. She was first married to D.C. Amsbaugh, who died in 1980. She then married Ressie Earl Boggs on December 27, 1995; he survives.
    Margaret attended New Hope Church. She was a homemaker and worked for General Electric in Decatur for 26 years.
    She is survived by a step-son, Richard Boggs of Fort Mills, S.C.; two step-daughters, Karen Boggs of Rock Hill, S.C. and Sylvia Petterson of Nolensville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Tammy (Ronald) Putteet and Deborah (Lewis) Miller, both of Decatur; four great-grandchildren, April (Bill) Rogers, Miranda Putteet, Rebecca and Courtney Miller; and a great-great-granddaughter, Izabel Rogers.
    Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin August officiating. Calling will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to New Hope Church.
