Louise P. Lengerich

    Louise P. Lengerich, 91, Monroeville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville.
    She was born on Sunday, July 23, 1922, in Allen County, the daughter of the late Martin J. and  Lydia M. (Scherer) Boerger. She married Gerald T. “Tex” Lengerich on August 28, 1948; he passed away on March 21, 1995.
 Louise was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven and was employed by General Electric in Fort Wayne for 28 years, retiring in 1972. She loved to play Bingo, decorate for Christmas, and her many dogs.
  Surviving are her granddaughter, Heidi (Doug) Saalfrank of Hoagland; a grandson, Jason (Sara) Richman of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Tiffany (Jason) Bennett of Fort Wayne; and a son-in-law, Weldon Richman of Hoagland. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Abigail and Andrew Saalfrank; Victoria, Allison and Brady Richman; and Hannah and Hunter Bennett.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Richman, in 2005; two brothers, Lawrence and Louis Boerger; and a sister, Mildred Busche.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven, with Pastor Paul Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
    Friends will be received from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
    Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins or Emanuel Lutheran Church.
