Lorine Hoffman

    Lorine Hoffman, 91, of Decatur, passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur.
    She was born on Sunday, June 19, 1921, in Adams County, to the late Henry and Emma (Westphal) Erxleben.
    Lorine married Walter Hoffman on June 19, 1943, in the parsonage at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim; he passed away on October 13, 1991.
    Lorine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble, where she was involved in the sewing society. Lorine was a homemaker.
    Among survivors are her son, Duane G. (Jackie) Hoffman of Decatur; daughter, Laverne K. (Richard) Borne of Decatur; four grandchildren, Todd (Tina) Hoffman, Kimberlee (David) Vitatoe, Micah (Amanda) Borne, and Joshua (fiancé P.J. Smith) Borne; and seven great-grandchildren.
    Lorine was preceded in death by five brothers, Ervin, Ernest, Lorenz, Albert, and Arnold Erxleben; sister, Jennie Selking; and grandson, Lucas John Borne.
    Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, February 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, also at the church, with Dr. Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating.
    Burial will follow at St Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Preble.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble.
