Lorena Hockemeyer

    Lorena Hockemeyer, 91, of Decatur, passed away at 2:14 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    Lorena was born on Thursday, May 19, 1921, in Allen County, to the late Fred C. and Emelia (Melcher) Hockemeyer.
    Lorena was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur and was a former member at St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock, rural Monroeville.
    Lorena worked as a nurse's aide for 23 years at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Among survivors is her sister-in-law, June Hockemeyer of Fort Wayne.
    Lorena was preceded in death by four brothers, Edgar, Hilbert, Walter, and Harold Hockemeyer.
    Friends will be received from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, April 15, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Phifer and Pastor Robert Becker officiating.
    Burial will follow in the St John Lutheran Cemetery- Flatrock.
    Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church-Decatur.
