Loren L. Stauffer, 70, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012, at Woodcrest.
He was born to the late Everett Stauffer and Eileen (Steiner) Stauffer on March 3, 1942.
Loren married Doris Daniel on April 14, 1965; she survives.
He was a member of the Berne Evangelical Church. He was employed at Indiana University, Bloomington and later at Berco in Berne.
Loren was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His special interests include gardening, he was an avid sports fan rooting for IU and the St. Louis Cardinals, and was a friend to all dogs.
Survivors include his mother; a son, Steven (Krista) Stauffer of Walbridge, Ohio; daughters, Becki (Keith) Dilley of Decatur and Veronica Stauffer of Indianapolis, a brother, Stanley Stauffer of Dectaur; sister, Karen Rowell of Berne; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Stauffer.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne. Officiating is Pastor Ken Fahls.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, at the Berne Evangelical Church, with visitation one hour prior to services. Pastor Ken Fahls will be officiating.
Burial is at the Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Best Friends Animal Society.
