Lois A. Ball

    Lois A. Ball, 69, of Decatur, passed away at 12:12 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at her residence.
    She was born on July 4, 1942, in Allen County, to the late Ralph I. and Esta B. (Trader) Otis.
    She married Jesse P. Ball on January 1, 1959; he died on February 14, 1988.
    She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur. Lois operated her own local cleaning service.
    She is survived by a son, Edward (Nicole) Ball of Monroeville; three daughters, Teresa (David) Sheets, Kathleen Hakes, and Jessie (Randy) Burkhart, all of Decatur; two brothers, William (Marlene) Otis of Columbus, Ohio, and John Otis; six sisters, Lora (Denver) McLemore of Middlebury, Ohio, Judy (Bob) Baumgartner of Decatur, Bonnie (Lee) Smith of Monroeville, Linda Woods of California, Donna (Don) Fifer of Decatur, and Vicki (Ron) Walker of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Otis.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, also at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Father David Voors.
    Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School.
