Local MDA collections top $3,600

    More than $3,600 was contributed from five sources in Adams County this year to add to the national Muscular Dystrophy Association fund drive.
    Collections were held last weekend by members of the Decatur Moose Lodge and the Monroe Fire Department. Decatur firefighters held their collection a week earlier.
    The finals totals are as follows:
    • $1,724.04, Decatur Fire Department.
    • $724.04, Decatur Moose Lodge 1311.
    • $526, garage sale at Preble Firemen's Park.    • $350.39, Berne Fire Department.
    • $300.03, Monroe Fire Department.
