Local businesses plan two-day open house

    The fourth annual Christmas Open House, sponsored by the Decatur Small Business Association (DSBA), will be held this Friday and Saturday at 24 businesses to kick off the Christmas season.
    Christmas shopping and decorating ideas will be available, along with entertainment and refreshments, the DSBA said.
    A grand prize drawing will be held for those who have punch cards stamped at 10 businesses they visit. Cards are available from participating DSBA sponsors.
    Cookies may be purchased at $1.50 per plate at a Cookie Walk, with all proceeds going to local food banks and the DSBA.
    At Yvonne Marie's Antique Mall, the Ladies' Fellowship group at Cornerstone Church will sell their homemade cakes.
    Santa Claus and a live reindeer will meet children at the courthouse square from 1-3 p.m. and rides will be available for kids on the Reindeer Express Train. Rides also will be available for the public in a horse-drawn wagon from Camelot Carriage Rides of rural Decatur.

Gass Salon, Eichhorn Jewelry, The Grainery, Hip-Hop Consignment Shop, The Home Place, The Hope Chest, Just Because Jewelry and Gifts, The Next Page Bookstore and More, Oh Sew Fine Designs, Ritter's Flowers and Gifts, Sunshine Uniques Flowers and Gifts.
    Also, Whistle Stop Hobbies and Crafts, The Whole You Salon and Spa, Wood Door Salon, Yvonne Marie's Antique Mall, The Galley, Grandma Goldie's Goodies, The Java Bean Cafe, Niblick's Downtown Bistro, West End Restaurant.
