    Linda J. Dietzen, 51, of Syracuse, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    Born in Regensburg, Germany, she grew up in Decatur, Indiana, and worked as au pair.
    She enjoyed cooking and music, but her passion was her family and her beloved grandson, with whom she shared a birthday.
    She is survived by her husband, Kyle Dietzen of Syracuse; a daughter, Ashley Frericks of Syracuse; a grandson, Grayson Lashley; a stepson, Jared Dietzen of Bloomington, Indiana; a sister, Sheila (James) Jesionowski of Chicago, Illinois; and four nieces and one nephew: Breanne Jesionowski, Brittany Hochstetler, Amanda and Zachary Lyon, and Taylor Burns.
    The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
    Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
    Memorials may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, to the Interstitial Cystitis Foundation, or to the Grayson Lashley Education Fund.
