Limberlost to host Golden Egg hunt

April 2, 2012

The Limberlost State Historic Site site in Geneva will host a Golden Easter Egg hunt starting at 11 a.m. this Saturday.
Participating youngsters will have the opportunity to gather as many eggs as they can, an announcement said. Those who find special Golden Eggs will win a grand prize.
This year's event will feature the Limberlost Egg-ucation Egg-stravaganza. According to a site spokesperson, there will be a display of eggs from a variety of creatures and, after the hunt, youngsters can attend the “egg class” to learn all about eggs.
Graduates will go through a special graduation ceremony to become an official Limberlost Egghead and receive a graduation gift from the Easter Bunny.
Officials urge parents to bring a camera as there will be plenty of opportunities for photographs with the Easter Bunny.
Admission to the event for children is $1 (ages 12 and under), while parents will be admitted free.
The Golden Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Crossroads Pantry of Geneva, CVS Pharmacy of Berne and Portland, Dreams on Wings of Geneva, Walmart of Portland, and the Friends of the Limberlost.
