Leona L. Lengerich

    Leona L. Lengerich, 85, Decatur, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
    Leona was born in Adams County, Sept. 9, 1928, to the late Alfred and Rose (Faurote) Rauch.
    She married Leonard J. Lengerich Oct. 18, 1952; he survives after 61 years of marriage.
    Leona was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was a homemaker.
    Surviving are four sons, Mike (Pam) Lengerich of Decatur, Leo (Karen) Lengerich of  Monroe, Dave (Mary) Lengerich of Warsaw and Greg (Jackie) Lengerich of Huntington; a daughter, Cathy (Frank) Brinkman of Ottoville, Ohio; two brothers, John (Marie) Rauch of Monroe and Alvin (Angie) Rauch of Decatur; three sisters, Phyllis (Frank) DeKoninck of Fort Wayne, Loretta (Louis) Rumschlag of Decatur and Harriet (Ken) Schwaller of Decatur; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. 
    She was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Charlie and Bill Rauch and a sister Ruth Gage.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at the church with Father David Voors officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 12 p.m. and from 9-10 a.m. March 10 at St. Mary's Parish Hall.
    Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home and Masses.
