Lee H. Wefel

    Lee H. Wefel, 53, of Monroe, passed away at 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Adams Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
    He was born on Sunday, August 10, 1958, in Decatur, to the late Donald Wefel and the late Patti (Hamilton) Fuelling.    On May 18, 1991, he married Cynthia L. Lovellette in Decatur; she survives in Monroe.
    Lee retired in 1998 from Fleetwood Motor Homes in Decatur after 20 years of service.
    Among survivors are his daughter, Sarah (Eric) Rash of Fort Wayne; son, Lee H. Wefel II of Monroe; sisters, Sue (Paul) Mankey of Decatur; and Donna Wefel (Mike Rauch) of Decatur; brother, Randy Wefel of Decatur; stepfather, Willie Fuelling of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Ava Rash, Jude Rash, and Samuel Rash.
    He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
    Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.    
    Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26,  also at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Brege officiating.
    Preferred memorials are to the grandchildren's education fund.
