Larry W. Moore

    Larry W. Moore, 60, of Decatur, died at his residence on Monday, July 11, 2011.
    He was born on February 25, 1951, in Greenfield, Ohio, to the late Richard A. Moore and Mary Lou (Pickens) Hubbell.
    Larry attended First Baptist Church in Decatur.
    He retired after 38 years as a utility operator at Central Soya and Bunge North America in Decatur.
    He was a member of American Legion Post 43 in Decatur and served his country in the United States Marines Corps.
    Larry is survived by his former wife, Lucy Moore of Decatur; his son, Andrew W. Moore of Indianapolis; two daughters, Amy L. (Michael) Bly and Julie A. (Bill) Grindstaff of Fort Wayne; three brothers, James R. (Mila) Moore of Bossier City, Louisiana; Richard A. (Karen) Moore of Kailua, Hawaii; and Michael L. (Brenda) Hubbell of Stanley, North Carolina; three sisters, Lena Sue Mougey of Springfield, Ohio; Jennifer J. (Bobby) Robinson of Decatur; and Susan A. Hubbell of Pageland, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Danielle and Megan Bly and Alesha, Adam, and Alex Lithgow; and one great-grandchild. Jasper Lithgow.
    A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur, with calling from noon-2 p.m. Officiating will be his son, Rev. Andrew Moore, with military rites by American Legion Post 43's color guard.
    Memorials are to Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
