Larry E. Spencer

    Larry Eugene Spencer, 68, of Springfield, Ohio, a former Portland resident, died on November 21 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
    Larry was born on October 31, 1943, in Hartford City to Robert and Erta Stauffer Spencer.
    He graduated from Portland High School in 1961 and worked for International Harvester for 46 years, retiring on February 26, 2008.
    Larry married Marguerite Romer on September 27, 1963, and she survives.
    Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Esta) Burgess and Edna Wall, both of Portland; one brother, Wayne Spencer (and wife Maggie) of Portland; four nieces; and three nephews.
    The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating.
    Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery at Portland.
    Visiting hours are 4-7 p.m. today in Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland.
