Larry D. Marbaugh

    Larry D. Marbaugh, 81, Willshire, Ohio, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    He was born in Celina, Ohio Oct. 27, 1932, to the late Clifford L. and Mildred L. (Lehman) Marbaugh. He married his wife of 43 years, Nancy J. Christener May 9, 1970; she survives.
    Larry was a member of Praise Pointe Church in Willshire. He worked for Decatur Casting, retiring in 1993 after 41 years of service. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Willshire American Legion Post 207.
    He is survived by two sons, Matt (Deb) Marbaugh of Decatur and Mark (Kristine) Marbaugh of Powell, Ohio; three brothers, Bill (Barbara) Marbaugh of Xenia, Ohio, Tom Marbaugh of Willshire and Dick (Carolyn) Marbaugh of Decatur; two sisters, Mary (Leo) Bennett of Preble and Donna J. Peterson of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Cassie and Alexis Marbaugh; and a Marbaugh grandson due in May.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Marbaugh.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Praise Pointe Church with Pastor Bradley Kittle and Pastor Mark Rutledge officating. Military funeral honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 207 Color Guard and burial will take place in the Willshire Cemetery at a later date.
    Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
