HARTFORD— The Lady Jets traveled all of the way to Blackford county to take on the Lady Bruins and were not disappointed as they came away with the win in exciting fashion. The scores were 26-24, 25-16, and 25-22 in favor of AC.

Adams Central came away with key points during the matches, but what ultimately did in the Lady Bruins of Blackford was too many unforced errors.
Leading the way for the Lady Jets was junior Bess Fiechter with eight kills, two blocks, 12 digs, and an assist. Freshman Haley Gross, who has been getting better with her strong play for the Lady Jets of late, finished with six kills, two digs, and an assist.
Senior Alyssa Keller and sophomore Abbey Lichtle each had five kills. Keller added 18 digs, 19 assists, and an ace, while LIchtle had a block, four digs, four assists, and an ace as well.
Sophomore libero Abby Snyder continues her excellent defensive play as well, as noted by AC coach Jeremi Schortgen. Snyder finished with 12 digs, three aces, three assists, and two kills.
Other scorers for AC were senior Chelsie Eads with a kill, a block, and a dig, sophomore Liz Luginbill with six digs, an ace, and an assist, senior Alexa Baller with three digs, freshman Whittney Peterson with four kills, four digs, and an assist, and sophomore Kaitlin Carroll made an appearance stepping up with two digs.
For the JV Jets, who also came away with a victory, the trip was equally as fulfilling, with the scores tallying 25-21, 25-17.
Leading the way for AC was sophomore Jenny Schultz who had nine kills, 12 digs, and an assist. Freshman set-up guru Madi Schwartz had a kill, eight digs, and 13 assists, while Kaitlin Carroll, who also plays some JV, helped with three kills, five digs, and an ace.
Junior Jen Kahlert added two kills, sophomore Samantha Fisher had a kill and seven digs, freshman Kelsey Pritchard had three kills and an assist, freshman Meghan Manley had two kills, a block, three aces, and an assist, while two other freshman, Jayla Byer and Kaitlyn Johnson, had a dig and a kill respectively.
With the victory, Adams Central moves to 13-12 on the season. The Lady Jets stay at home for their next match tomorrow evening. AC hosts Northside for senior night and will start out with a JV contest at 6 p.m.
