Lady Jets blank Raiders, 15-0

April 25, 2014

MONROE— Adams Central's Lady Jets softball team brought home another victory with a 15-0 bombing of the Southern Wells Raiders Thursday night at home.
The Lady Jets pulled out three runs in the first inning to get the ball rolling, then issued four more in the second to take a 7-0 lead. A big fourth inning produced the final eight runs of the game and the contest ended in just five innings due to the mercy rule.
Central used four walks to aid their 13 hits in the game, while Madi Schwartz earned the five-inning, four-hit shutout of the Raiders.
Liz Luginbill was 2-3 with three RBIs, while Jayla Byer, and Abby Busse also had two hits in the game.
