True Value and the Monroe Crushers moved on in the Koufax tournament on Tuesday night at Worthman Field in Decatur.

The Crushers downed the SA Gold team in game one by a 15-2 score in five frames, while TV downed Blue Elks by a 19-8 score also shortened to five innings.
Blake Bauman had three doubles to lead the Crushers including one in the fifth when the winners scored five runs to end the game in the bottom half courtesy of the 10-run rule. Nick Liter also had a double in the fifth inning, while Luke Bittner had three of the 12 hits for Monroe.
Earning the win for Monroe was Jake Schwaller on the mound pitching all five innings and allowing just two runs on four hits with six K's and three free passes. For SA, Mark Clary pitched in the loss allowing 12 runs on 15 hits with four walks and seven strikeouts.
In the nightcap, True Value downed Elks on the strength of a nine-run second inning to take a 12-3 lead. Four runs in the bottom of the fifth put the visitors away early.
Corrie Lewis tripled in the fifth inning, while Trevor Norman had a double in the second each for the Elks. True Value did not have an extra-base hit but managed 10 singles and took advantage of 13 walks in the win.
Kyle Stacey took the loss for Elks going two frames and allowing 12 runs on five hits with two K's and nine walks. Clayton Thompson pitched the final three innings allowing seven more runs on five hits with three K's and four walks.
Winning for Value was Oliver Gehres pitching four frames and allowing four runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and three walks. Luke Strickler pitched a frame in relief allowing four runs on three hits with three walks and a K.
Moving to the loser's bracket, Elks continued their season by eliminating the Courtesy Motors squad in five innings, 14-2, on Wednesday.
The Blue Elks jumped out on top with seven runs in the top of the first, then scored six more in the third for all the run support they would need. Courtesy got on the board with a run in the fourth and another in the fifth but could not extend the game.
Five of the 12 hits for the Elks were extra bases including a homerun from Stacey and one from Jake Harris. Stacey also had a triple completing a three-hit game, while Mitchell Kuhlenbeck also had a three-bagger and a double. Harris had three hits. For Courtesy, Trevor Ortiz and Jayden Mankey each doubled in a losing effort.
Cameron Cook pitched five strong innings allowing six hits for just two runs on four K's and four walks. Jordan Fuelling pitched 0.1 innings for the loss allowing three runs on three hits. Peyton Staub threw 2.2 innings allowing 11 runs on nine hits with a pair of K's and three walks. Jayden Mankey pitched two hitless frames.
True Value and the Monroe Crushers will play in the semi-finals of the winners bracket at 7:30 while Corner Deli will play McIntire at 5:30 in the other semi-final, both at the Decatur Field. The Elks play in game one tonight at Monroe against either SA Gold or BKM at 5:30.
