KFC closes its Decatur doors

March 4, 2014

Kentucky Fried Chicken and Long John Silvers, 240 N 13th st. in Decatur, is officially closed.
Monday, passersby could observe the signs coming down and a one line announcement, “closed,” on the display board.
Larry Ross, owner of Larry Ross Restaurants, commented on the apparent sudden closing, stating that the restaurant was not profitable and has been on the market nearly a year. “It’s a shame that it wasn’t profitable,” Ross said. “I appreciate the support and patronage from Decatur.”
Ross shut the doors Sunday and the property remains on the market.
