Kathleen “Kathy” Bauman, 58, Geneva, passed away at 9:09 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Kathy was born Oct. 12, 1955, in Bluffton to the late Ralph J. and Harriet “Betty” (Stogdill) McFarren.
She graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1974.
She married Brian "Rudy" L. Bauman June 8, 1974, at the First Baptist Church in Bluffton; they shared the last 39 years together and he survives.
Kathy was presently working as the Activities Director for the South Adams Senior Center and had previously worked as an administration assistant at the High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland. She loved scrapbooking and made cards with rubber stamps. She recently enjoyed making jewelry. She loved to vacation with Rudy in the Smoky Mountains and spend time with her shelties dogs.
Kathy is survived by a son, Brent J. Bauman and a grandson, Cole Bauman, both of Geneva; a sister, Suzanne (Nolan) Markley of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to calling, both at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton and on
Funeral services will be at 10:30 on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Dilley officiating.
Burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
Memorials may be made in Kathy’s memory to the Asbury United Methodist Church or South Adams Senior Center.
