Karen L. Sharp, 68, of rural Willshire, Ohio a devoted Christian mother passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born in Adams County on February 16, 1945 to John and Edna (Tumbleson) Mason.
She married Anthony "Tony" Sharp on September 1, 1963.
Karen was a member of the First Missionary Church in Berne. Her church activities included; being a Sunday school teacher, a leader in the children's music department, a Bible School teacher, and memober of the church choir. She was a partner with her husband in Sharp Farms Inc. serving as the bookkeeper. She loved music and sports and attended her grandchildren's activities in these areas.
She and her husband celebrated with their family 50 years of marriage on Sunday, September 1.
Among survivors are her husband, Tony; sons, Daniel (Lana) Sharp of Berne, Douglas (Shelly) Sharp of Berne, Scott (Kelli) Sharp of Monroe, Jason Sharp of Benre; brothers, Edward (Karen) Mason of Geneva, Jerry (Berverly) Mason of Carmel; sister, Jan (Daniel Tomano of Berne; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica, Alyssa (Chris) Adams, Spencer, Carter, Kaela Sharpe, Ethan and Tanycia Sharp, Zachari and Austyn Sharp, and one great granddaughter, Danieele Christine Adams.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11 and one hour prior to service at the First Missionary Church in Berne.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 12 also at the church. Pastor Mark Dill and Max Haines will be officiating.
Burial is at the Springhill Cemetery in rural Berne.
Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
