July 17 official start for 4-H Fair

    The 2011 Adams County 4-H Fair will kick off on Sunday, July 17, with five days full of various events, including 4-H activities.
    Some pre-fair activities are scheduled this Sunday at the Monroe fairgrounds: the 4-H  dog show at 2 p.m. and the bicycle rodeo at 2:30 p.m. Next Saturday, livestock check-in and the Battle of the Barns will be held.
    Then the fair officially begins the next day, Sunday, July 17.
    The annual parade is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, and among post-parade events will be the crowning of the 2012 Ambassador.
