Julia B. McCullough, 84, of Berne, a former Monroe and Geneva resident, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, in Chalet Village Health Care Center.
She was born on Thursday, June 24, 1926, in Berne to Irvin T. and Lillian Yoss Sprunger.
Julia worked at General Electric in Decatur for 43 years.
She was a member of the First Missionary Church in Berne and a 1944 graduate of the former Hartford Township School.
She married Lawrence E. McCullough on January 23, 1954, in Berne; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a friend, Alberta L. Nelson of Geneva; two aunts, Anna Sprunger of Berne and Lila Miller of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin T. and Lillian Yoss Sprunger; her husband, Lawrence E. McCullough; her sister, Christene Puffenberger; and her brother, Ted Sprunger.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, where family and friends may gather to share and remember from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 5, 2011.
A service to celebrate Julia's life will be held at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home at noon on Saturday, February 5, 2011, with Rev. Max Haines officiating.
Interment will be at Ray Cemetery, rural Monroe.
