    Josephine A. Jackson, 91, Decatur, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.    
    Josephine was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Christian County, Ill., to the late E. Guy and Teresa (Richardson) McBride.
    She married Richard L. Jackson June 23, 1945; he preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1991.
    Josephine was a member of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Women of St. Mary’s. She was a homemaker and a former owner of the Little Flower Beauty Shop.
  She is survived by six sons, Dennis R. (Renae) Jackson of Decatur, Dr. Richard T. (Becky) Jackson of Bluffton, James L. Jackson of Ogden, Utah, Jerry L. (Kayanne) Jackson of Gold River, Calif., David E. (Melinda) Jackson of Montgomery, Ala. and Dan E. (Karin) Jackson of Huron, S.D.; a daughter, Mary Ann Meyer of Decatur; two sisters, Bernice Riley of Taylorville, Ill. and Genevieve (Henry) Burrus of Rosemond, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie A. Jackson-Johnson.
    A prayer service will be held at 9:20 a.m. Saturday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be officiating.
    Burial will be St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday  at the funeral home, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
