Jonathan D. Brodbeck, 54, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Decatur, Jonathan graduated from Adams Central High School and worked as a warehouse manager with R.E. Crosby & Sons Inc. for 29 years.
He was a member of the South Central congregation of Jehovah's Witness and was a Komet hockey fan. Jonathan also enjoyed fishing, camping, and turkey hunting and was an avid card player and collector.
His passion in life was spending time with his family.
Jonathan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Cheryl Brodbeck; a daughter, Cammie (Joshua) Kline of Fort Wayne; a son, Justin Brodbeck of Fort Wayne; a sister, Cathy Helms of Lubbock, Texas; and two brothers, Ken (Michelle) Brodbeck of Lafontaine, Indiana, and Timothy (Renee) Brodbeck of Lubbock, Texas.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, Morris D. and Mary C. Brodbeck; a brother, Philip Brodbeck; and a sister, Jill LaLone.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in The Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness, 6000 Abbott St., Fort Wayne, with Mark Schabow officiating.
Calling will be two hours prior. There will also be visitation on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
