John M. Zuber

    John M. Zuber, 62, Decatur, passed away Aug. 9, 2014, in Decatur.
    He was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Fort Wayne, the son of the late James Zuber and Florine (Stoeckly) Zuber.  He married Sandy Peveler June 10, 2001, in Brown County.
  John was a member of New Beginnings Family Center in Decatur.
  He was employed for 43 years with American Electric Power as a serviceman.
 Surviving are his wife, Sandy Zuber, Decatur; son, Tony Zuber, Fort Wayne; son, Bryan (Bernadette) Zuber, Columbus, Ga.; son, Jason Zuber, Decatur; step-daughter, Patsy (Rob) Kraj, Marietta, Ga.; mother, Florine Schneider, New Haven; brother, James (Cheryl) Zuber, New Haven; sister, Sharon (Dean) Huey, Columbus, Nebr.; sister, Mary (Phil) Raimondo, Columbus, Nebr.; and eight grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Cooksey officiating. Internment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.
    Preferred memorials are to Doctors Without Borders.
