Jobless rate dips a bit

    Adams County's unemployment rate for March stood at 8.1 percent, down fourth-tenths of a percent from one month earlier, according to figures released Friday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
    The county began 2013 with an 8.8 percent jobless rate in January, the highest since a 9.2 percent reading in January of 2011. One year ago the county's unemployment rate stood at 8.0 percent.
    Friday's report showed that 1,164 members of the county's workforce of 14,384 remained without work during the year's third month.
