Jimmy Kipp Blake, 23, of rural Decatur, passed away as the result of a single-car accident in Adams County on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
He was born on August 30, 1987, in Allen County to Cary J. and Amy E. (Geiger) Blake.
He is survived by his parents, Cary J. and Amy E. Blake, both of Decatur; three brothers, Kasey J. Blake of Columbia City, and Kyler J. and Kurtis J. Blake, both of Decatur; his paternal grandparents, Joseph W. and Loretta L. Blake of Churubusco; his maternal grandmother, Diane M. Geiger of Churubusco; and his paternal great-grandmother, Maxine Blake of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy R. Geiger.
Kipp was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren in rural Decatur.
He was an employee at Dolco Packaging Corp. in Decatur.
Kipp was a 2006 graduate of Adams Central High School and was attending the Indiana-Purdue campus in Fort Wayne.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, and 1-4 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren Activity Center, 4504 W. County Rd. 300 North, rural Decatur.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, in Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, 4504 W. County Rd. 300 North, with Pastor Jay Carter officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Adams Central High School Swing Choir or to the Adams Central High School Athletic Department.
