ROCKFORD, Ohio––A game that Adams Central coach Aaron McClure called "ugly" because it lacked the offensive flow his team displayed in its first two outings still went AC's way at Parkway on Saturday.
The 57-43 victory that made the Flying Jets 2-1 and left the Panthers 0-2 came as the two sides swapped 10-0 runs in the fourth period and featured more fireworks from Jet star Maverick Baumer.
The Jets were up comfortably, 47-31, after three periods, but lost their scoring touch and were beset by foul calls that allowed the homestanding Panthers to get back in it, largely due to perfect freethrowing.
The Jets will host Union City on Tuesday.
    Reserve Game
Adams Central went to 2-1 with a 39-30 victory that dropped the Parkway B team to 1-1.
Hayden Black led the Flying Jet backups with 17 points and running mate Nick Baumer tallied 16, making 85% of the offense from two players.
