Jets top Bruins in three-way

    HARTFORD CITY — Adams Central's girls swim team, under new coach Patti Sauer, topped Blackford but fell to a strong Norwell team in a triple-dual Tuesday held at Blackford.
    The Knights tallied 167 points to the 97 of AC and 58 of the hosts.
    Only Adams Central results were reported.
    Ali McClain tallied Central's only first with a 1:15 in the 100 butterfly. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Whitney Landis, Yuleeza McCullough, Alisen Barger and McClain finished second in 2:04.87.
    McClain added a second in the 50 free in 27:32 with Sydnee Reinhard fourth.
    Landis took second in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:21.18. Jamie Swales took fourth. McCullough added a third in the backstroke with a 1:19.2 and Kendra Kauffman was next with a 1:21.
    Barger added a third in the 200 IM in 2:58.7. Kauffman took third in the 100 free in 1:04,52 while Kristen Bergdoll took sixth. Swales added a third in the 200 free in 2:42 and Kelsey Schwartz was fourth in 2:46.
    In the opening medley relay, the Jets' foursome took second with McCullough, Landis, McClain and Barger swimming a 2:13.71. Kauffman, Swales, Reinhard and Dusty Gremaux combined for fifth.
    Schwartz, Kauffman, Swales and Reinhard swam a 4:52 in the 400 free relay for third.
    Barger took third and Landis fourth in the diving.
