Jets stay perfect with win over Falcons

MONROE—Adams Central ended another foe in under seven innings on Wednesday night as they handled Winchester in five frames, 11-0.

Jaron Bittner tossed from the mound for his first varsity start and did not disappoint throwing five full innings of three-hit baseball allowing no runs in the shut out.
The Jets helped out the junior a lot at the plate earning nine runs in the first inning to put the game away early. In the frame, 15 Jet batters made their way to the plate with seven of them earning free passes at the hands of Winchester pitching woes.
The Golden Falcons' starter, Gant, went just 0.2 innings before he was pulled allowing eight earned runs on five walks.
Conner Lengerich managed to put the ball in play to score Isaac Luginbill from first base for the first two at-bats of the day. After a walk to Dalton Combs, Isaac Soldner scored Lengerich from second on a single to make it 2-0 before the first out.
Kyle Baker singled in a pair of Jets two batters later. Three walks in a row followed with the last scoring Baker from third. After a pitching change for Winchester, the Jets continued their waltz with two more walks making it five straight in the inning before Soldner changed it up with a single scoring two more runs bringing the grand total to nine in the first inning.
