Jennie Daniels

    Jennie Daniels died Sunday morning, September 26, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for a number of weeks.
    Jennie was born in Adams County on October 7, 1907, to Ulysses and Clara (Brunner) Gfeller.
    Jennie was the youngest of four siblings from parents who had emigrated from the French part of Switzerland to Indiana.
    Jennie was married to Charles O. Daniels on June 25, 1934 and they were parents to two children, Max L. Daniels of Decatur and Joyce Ann McAhren of Bakersfield, California.
    Jennie also was the grandmother to five: Susan Whitener, Doris Singleton, Aleta Coyne, John McAhren, and Kristen McAhren; a great-grandmother to seven; and a great-great-grandmother to three.
    Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, brother, and two sisters.
    Jennie was a homemaker and the oldest member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur.
    Funeral arrangements are through Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, with private services on Saturday.
