Jeannine L. Wright

    Jeannine L. Wright, 80 years old, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    Jeannine was born Monday, December 19, 1932 in Huntington to the late Leo E. and C. Louise (Lynas) Simon-Steele.
    She married Herbert J. Pearson on August 4, 1989 in Fort Wayne; he passed away June 23, 2011.
    Jeannine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Decatur.
    She retired in 1994 with 20 years of service from Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She had also worked part-time at Adams Memorial Hospital and was a hospital volunteer.
    Among survivors are two sons, Ronald T. (Kim) Wright of Decatur and C. Thomas Wright of Fort Wayne; brother, Richard E. (Rose) Simon of Tempe, Ariz.; step-daughter, Michael Ann Kuss of Walkerton, Ind.; former husband, Ronald E. Wright of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Ronald "James" (Taylor) Wright, Samantha Elizabeth Wright, Shelby Kate Wright, Patrick Anthony Wright, Henry Jack Wright, Sophia Ann Wright and Christine Suzanne Wright; and three step-grandchildren, Amber Jean Kuss, Lauren Marie Kuss, and Olivia Janet Kuss.
    Jeannine was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles W. Steele and her step-daughter, Julie Lynn Pearson.
    Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 9, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Marcia Cline officiating.
    Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington.
    Preferred memorials are to New Horizons in Marion, Ind., Crossroads Children's Home in Fort Wayne or First Presbyterian Church in Decatur.
