Jay County invited to join ACAC

March 22, 2013

The ACAC made its first move towards a shake-up on Thursday as the Allen County Athletic Conference extended an invitation to Jay County High School for membership into the conference.
There has been no official acceptance from Jay County as they will decide this matter at the next school board meeting. The school is already mulling over a possible acceptance to the North Central Conference where they would be one of the smaller schools. In the ACAC, Jay County's numbers would be near the top of the enrollment list.
Steve Thompson, athletic director from Bluffton High School and representing the ACAC board, had this to say about the invitation, "The principals and athletic directors of the ACAC feel that the student athletes, coaches and school personnel, along with the Jay County community will be a great addition to the conference."
Schedules and other detailed information will be made available as it is brought forth.
