Janelle Riley, 68, Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.
She was born in Decatur Monday, Oct. 22, 1945, to the late Floyd M. and Mildred (Henschen) Roth.
Janelle married Gale Riley Oct. 17, 1964, in Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren; he survives.
She was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, where she had played piano and organ. She was also active in the Ladies Aid at the church and taught Sunday school. Janelle had worked at Berne Apparel Company for more than 20 years.
Among survivors are her son, Todd (Raquel) Riley of Decatur; daughter, Theresa (Eric) Braun of Monroe; brother, Roger (Nancy) Roth of Berne; five grandchildren, Adam, David and Riley Braun of Monroe; and Garrick and Alisha Hovereman of Decatur; and one great-grandchild, Carter Perez.
Preceding Janelle in death was a brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Jay Carter officiating. Internment will follow in Tricker Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
