Irma A.M. Koehlinger

    Irma A.M. Koehlinger, 90, of Fort Wayne, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
    She was born on January 30, 1920, in Van Wert County, Ohio to William J. and Mary Sauer Schumm Schumm.
    She married Walter J. Koehlinger on April 9, 1944, in Zion Lutheran Church at Schumm, Ohio; he passed away on May 13, 1983.
    Irma was a homemaker, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Fort Wayne, and a graduate of Willshire High School in Ohio in 1938.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Jeanette M.) Hendrickson of Coldwater, Michigan; three sons, Mervin W. Koehlinger (and wife Suzette) of Fort Wayne; Stanley E. Koehlinger (and wife Nancy) of Bolivar, Ohio; and Rev. Vernon D. Koehlinger (and wife Marie) of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Betty Schumm of Van Wert, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Robert Koehlinger (and wife Janet) of Huntington, Indiana; 14 grandchildren: Carl Koehlinger (and wife Lori), Julie Koehlinger, Mrs. Chad (Sara) Bauer, Mrs. Cyrus (Amy) Davarpanah, Mrs. Dan (Tricia) Dempsey, Kristen Koehlinger, Mrs. Sean (Stephanie) Conway, Matthew Hendrickson (and wife Christine), Lisa Hendrickson, Michael Hendrickson (and wife Chisty), Mrs. Aaron (Rachel) Zoeller, Benjamin Koehlinger, Peter Koehlinger, and Zachary Koehlinger (and wife Christi); and 18 great-grandchildren: Beldon Phelps; Logan and Calyn Bauer; Ella Davarpanah; Jay, Anna, and Kailey Dempsey; Isabella Conway; Vaughn, Helene, Naomi, and Macy Hendrickson; Owen and Isla Hendrickson; Asher, Cale, and Philip Zoeller; and Scarlett Koehlinger.
    One sister, Elsie A. Schumm, and one brother, Milton M. Schumm, are deceased.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 7819 Decatur Rd., Fort Wayne, with Pastor Paul Shoemaker officiating.
    Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
    Visiting hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
    Preferred memorials are to Trinity Lutheran Church, the "Worship for Shut-Ins" program, or the Walter J. and Irma A. Koehlinger Endowed Scholarship at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne.
