Irene M. Bultemeier

    Irene M. Bultemeier, 88, of Decatur, died at 8:04 a.m. Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.    She was born on October 16, 1922, in Adams County to August and Johanna Gallmeyer Buuck.
    She married Clarence H. Bultemeier on May 25, 1941; he passed away on August 17, 2004.
    She assisted her husband in operating Bultemeier Construction in Decatur, as she handled the bookkeeping and payroll duties.
    She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church (Friedheim) in rural Decatur and was a longtime group leader in Adams County 4-H.
    She and her husband were active in several local bridge clubs and they enjoyed trading stocks.
    Surviving are two sons, Larry Bultemeier (and wife Janice) and Bruce Bultemeier, both of Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Judy A.) Baumann of Decatur; Kaye I. Bultemeyer (and husband Noel Kuck), working for the U.S. Peace Corps in South Africa; and Grace M. Bultemeier (and husband Dan Pence) of Danville, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Eldora Fuelling of Decatur and Louise Buuck of Ossian; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
    One grandson, Brett Bultemeier, and one brother, Norman Buuck, are deceased.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church (Friedheim), with Pastor Daniel Dahling officiating.
    Burial will be in the cemetery at Zion Lutheran Church (Friedheim).
    Visiting hours are 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in Porter Auditorium at Woodcrest Retirement Community of Decatur, 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home at Decatur, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church.
    Preferred memorials are to the building fund at Zion Lutheran Church (Friedheim).
