Ingmire dies in fire

    Duane (Dean) Ingmire, 59, a 16-year reserve officer and a 14-year dispatcher with the Decatur Police Department, died this morning in a fire inside his home in Roe Acres, north of Monmouth.
    Firefighters were sent to the home at 217 W. Roeville Road at 8:36 a.m. when the 911 center at the Adams County Sheriff's Department received a call from a neighbor of Ingmire's who saw smoke coming from the home.
    Decatur firefighters were able to suppress the fire and upon entering the structure, discovered the body.
    The investigation is continuing.
    Funeral arrangements are expected to be made later at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
