Info sought on mailbox vandalism

    Local authorities are requesting the public's assistance in providing information concerning a widespread spree of mailbox vandalism overnight Sunday.
    On Monday morning, the Adams County Sheriff's Department received numerous reports of damage to mailboxes. Vandals used some type of blunt object and struck the boxes, causing extensive damage, according to Detective Lt. Gary Burkhart of the sheriff's department.
    The incidents took place between county roads 200 E and 400 E, and between 600 N and 11 N.
