Hull slams DDS in Decatur showdown

An 8-run fifth stopped this one as Hull Lift Trucks slammed DDS 13-1 in a battle of Decatur Mays clubs Tuesday. Colin Mills doubled with 2 of Hull's 7 hits in the victory.

Logan Arriaga took the win as he came on in the third to a bases-loaded jam and threw one pitchy, getting David Noetzel to ground back to the mound to get out of the mess. Arriaga fanned 5 with no walks and 2 hits allowed as he relieved Johnathan Wilder, who fanned 4, walked three and gave up no hits in 2-plus innings.
Jovan Martinez tripled for Dental. Brevin Slusher took the loss, striking out 8 with 4 walks and 6 hits allowed. Kory Feasel hurled one-hit relief.
Feasel's running catch in left-center on a ball hit by Wilder closed out one inning, but DDS could not find outs in that fifth frame.
In a recent H.E.B.A. Clemente (7-8) contest, Bleeke Electric dumped the United Steelworkers 19-4.
Nic Ellsworth had four hits with 2 doubles to spark Bleeke. Kobe Baker, John Ulman, and Jared Bushroe all doubled among three hits. Duke Myers, Kolten Fawbush, and Bryce Rickord all had three hits.
Ethan Poling had 2 hits for the Workers.
In an 8-4 win over Murphy USA, Ulman tripled among 2 hits while Fawbush, Cael Light, and Carter Bailey all had a double and single. Ellsworth double while Myers and Baker each had 2 hits.
For Murphy, Isaiah Wellman slugged 3 hits while Gianni Symortis, Chase Murray, and Mitchell Coates all doubled. Carson Friedt and Mason Lengerich had 2 hits each.
