Hull Lift secured the championship in HEBA Mays League play last night with a win over second place Monmouth Villa Lanes, 10-3.
Hull, the regular season champs as well, led 4-2 in the fourth before Villa Lanes allowed three to cross in the fifth to make the score 7-2. The Monmouth squad scored one in the bottom of the fifth but then Hull plated three in the sixth thanks to a triple by Mason Burkholder started things off. He would be singled in by Gianni Symrniotis and two more would score later in the inning making it 10-3, the final score as Hull would shut down Villa Lanes on a liner to second base and two ground outs in the sixth inning.
